I've lived in Ludlow, Springfield area all my life. Most all the wheeling spots I used as a kid are eather built on or blocked off. I just need some where to wheel without braking laws or trespassing. I am not able to trailer my jeep so I don't want to travel very far to have some fun. Also could use some new buddys to wheel with. Can anyone help here.

I had the same issues!! My advise to you is look for a club to join!! It solved most of my wheeling issues!!
Shop around, find a club that fits you. There are clubs that are more active in the sport than others. If you look around you will find one that suits you!!

A good place to start is http://www.nea4wd.org/clubs/index.cfm?fact=list_uv&topic_id=40

It is a list of some of the clubs local to us.

Good luck!!

X2! Look for a reputable club. There are plenty that can be found at the link Ryan posted.

Thanks for asking that question! There are not many legal trails to go wheeling on without a club. nor will be post here where you could go on your own as most if not all the trails are private property the clubs have real permission to run. We all (clubs) practice tread lightly http://www.treadlightly.org/ and we maintain and clean the trails.

Thanks for the info. I would like to join a club. I don't have a super capable rig to wheel. I would like to here from some people in some clubs to see what it is like, and what kind of runs they go on. I always tread lightly, and keep every where I wheel cleanner then I found it.

a lot of clubs will allow someone to come on a "test" run. where you can check out the members of the club and see if that's where you want to be, there are also Meet and Greets where you can also go out to dinner or some event.
I am in Freedom Trail Riders our next M&G is Edaville Railroad Festival of Lights, Carver, MA, Sunday, November 22, 2009 at 4pm. Smiley
Each club is different, some are for the more buggies/modified rigs others cater to those that are a little less modified to stock.
