Not much activity.............
So Ill ask these two questions.
"What makes any Jeep the overall show winner?"
What do judges look for?
The past two years the same Jeep won.
I have been either one of the head judges, or
the judge (when volunteers were low) at the GAJR since it's inception, only taking a break last year (and even then I still helped out). I have a background in automotive repair/restoration, drag racing, and off road (specifically Jeeps). Without being modest, I know more about Jeeps, and what you can do to them, than most.
The overall "Best of Show" Jeep could be a combination of any of the categories, or fit into none of them. Typically, it's unique, clean, and demands attention. I look for custom work and attention to detail.
I know from your previous post, last year before the Rally, that you were hoping to grab best in show. Your Jeep was powerful, loud, and impressive, but it was also incomplete. IMO, it was not worthy of best in show in the condition it was in. That may be different this year, and I wish you the best of luck, but I have to say that seeing another post regarding winning that category reminds me of the kid in class who always raises his hand screaming "pick me".
Any judge (including myself), who has ever worked in the GAJR, has ALWAYS been completely impartial. If your Jeep is the best in show, then it will win.
