I think the rockpile needs a DJ.... like the one that was there in 09
Wait a minute.... that was me.... and as luck would have it, I'm buying myself an 04 LJ tomorrow, so I'll have the perfect rig to haul my gear to the rally... if anyone remembers I had a Camry cuz my Jeep had a broken tranny, but I'll be available, that is if you want me back.

We did miss you last year. You are welcome back for the rock garden.  I'll put together and print an info sheet instead of the tiny sheets you used in 09.
Make sure the LJ has an Inverter. Tongue

I still have the 1200 watt inverter  Cheesy

6  Great American Jeep Rally / General Discussion / Ian Johnson's Cup of coffee for sale on: October 24, 2009, 12:25:05 PM
I was cleaning out my car yesterday and found a Dunkin Donuts cup in the trunk, I found this odd because I do not drink coffee, then I saw the name IAN on the cup, written in silver marker....
THEN I remembered pictures that my girl took of me when Ian came down to the Rock Garden, and there it was... a picture of Ian Johnson putting his Dunkin Donuts coffee cup on the table that I had set up.

So.... here's the cup

and here is the picture of Ian

Here is one of those 3D illusion pics......

If you stare at this picture for 30 seconds.... the image of a black Jeep will slowly appear

Finally, a picture of me... with that TV guy... whatshisname... Jessie?
I know, I know, it's Ian Johnson. I'm glad that he was so cool about the whole "Jessie" thing. I had notes on the topics that I wanted to have him talk about, and at the top of the page, I wrote "DON'T MENTION JESSIE"... Ian comes driving over, I play the Extreme 4x4 theme song, look at the notes, and call him Jessie.
I had a good time trying to add something new to the marquee event at the rally, I promise that next year we will have the driver questioneers/spec sheets on hand to properly introduce all of the rock garden participants.
9  Great American Jeep Rally / For Sale or Vendor / LJ half cab for sale on: October 14, 2009, 03:56:27 PM
This is not mine, I saw it being pulled of the delivery truck at Kelly Jeep in Lynnfield MA

The salesman said it was used, and they are asking $28,000
It is not a Rubicon, I checked the t-case and it doesn't have a 241.

So..... in a TJ, if the airbag goes off in a street accident,
will the passenger have a " 90 yllaR peeJ RJAG"   imprint in their head?
13  Great American Jeep Rally / Other Public Events / Jeep Run / fundraiser on: October 19, 2008, 08:45:27 PM
Sorry, I don't have any info on where one of these may be, that's probably because I don't think that I've ever heard of one. I live near the Harley shop in Everett MA, and they had their "Halloween Witch Ride" today up to Salem MA. It's an MDA fundraiser. If you've never seen one of these, it's about 1000+ bikers dressed up in costumes, paying $20 just go for a ride, police escort, afterride cookout........
Can't you just see a parade of 600+ Jeeps, tops and doors off?
Is there a Jeep run anywhere?

The closest thing to it that I have seen is the Santa Parade in Lynn MA on Christmas eve. OK so just about any type of vehice is in this parade, but there is usually a small contingent of Jeeps that ride together, Christmas lights blinking all over the Jeeps, XMAS music blaring

I sent Steve those last two pictures.

We'll see how they look.

To see them rotating (once their up) you'll need javascript enabled on your web browser.

Ask Steve to center align the banners or I can alter the images if needed. Although I noticedthat my originals are 1024 pixels wide and the banner is only 800 pixels.......
