The Great American Jeep Rally – 2005

 proudly present the 5th Annual Great American Jeep Rally on Sunday, September 25, 2005 from 9 AM to 4 PM in a NEW LOCATION at the Four Town Fairgrounds located in Somers, CT – approximately 8 miles south of the Massachusetts border.

Jeep enthusiasts have been traveling from all over the northeast to show their appreciation for Jeeps of all kinds – military, antique, new and old, stock to heavily modified. We offer hourly raffles, trophy awards for street, beater, military, antique, best in show, and off-road. In addition, attendees may test their Jeep’s articulation on one of the RTI Ramps, test their balance on the teeter-totter, and play in the Rally Rock Garden just to name a few of the events the entire family will enjoy throughout the day. Food vendors, vendors selling Jeep ware, local organized wheeling club booths, and a Tread Lightly! informational booth will also be readily available.

The mission of the Rally is to raise money for charity and continue its efforts in supporting the Northeast Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs (“NEA4WDC”). In addition to the NEA4WDC, Rally proceeds are going to support the Leary Firefighters Foundation.

Founded in 2000 by actor Denis Leary, The Leary Firefighters Foundation is dedicated to providing the Fire Departments of Boston, Worcester and New York City with funding and resources to acquire the tools and training necessary to maintain the highest level of public safety as well as to provide resources to the families of firefighters who have perished or been injured in the line of duty. The NEA4WDC was established in 2001 and currently has ten member clubs with a combined membership of over 1,500. Its mission is to protect and promote environmentally responsible Off-Highway Vehicle recreation, while maintaining a harmonious relationship between OHV enthusiasts and landowners. To support and educate Local, State and National agencies in the preservation of OHV recreation. Read more

The members of Baystate Jeepers, Northeast Jeep Organization and the other member clubs in the NEA4WDC have been enjoying Off-Highway Vehicle Recreation on permission granted land over the last several years. These clubs and others like them have removed tons of illegally dumped garbage from our natural areas. Our members practice the principles of Tread Lightly!®, respect private property and always leave with more than we go in with.
